Tepozteco is the name of our most recent piece, a lounge chair designed by Christian Vivanco. The Tepozteco Lounge Chair is focused on achieving the greatest comfort through rattan weaving. Its design is inspired by a conversation between the great Danish design classics of the early 20th century, and traditional weaving techniques in Mexico.
Tepozteco is the first piece of Balsa that integrates the use of natural wood, as a result of new conversations with different workshops inside and outside of Mexico City. The natural wicker weaving is made by Mexican artisans from the state of Queretaro, while the woodwork is produced in different workshops in Mexico City and its surroundings.
