Tapirus is a genus of perissodactyl mammals in the Tapiridae family, commonly known as tapirs. It is the only current genus in the family, which includes nine other extinct genera. It belongs to the same order as horses, to which they are distantly related, and rhinos, which are their closest living relatives. In some places it receives names like Mboreví (Guaraní word), Anta, Danta, Pinchaque, Sachavaca and Macho de Monte.

With 1,500 Central American Tapirs in the wild, Mexico is the country with the greatest abundance of these. They are located in the states of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche and Quintana Roo.

The Fauna masks were designed thinking about traditional artisan processes of Tequisquiapan in central Mexico, using wicker and natural rattan, and developing together with the master craftsmen, new techniques and transformation processes that make Fauna a very special collection.

Natural Rattan with three available finishes:
Natural  |  Black | Toasted

Dimensions: 37 × 35 × 2 cm

Clean gently. Dust your rattan furniture regularly with a soft cloth. Never use paint thinners or abrasive creams to clean wicker or rattan cane furniture.

While rattan furniture can be used outdoors, it should not be left outdoors. Learn more.
