The Mono Araña is an abundant species in tropical forests despite the fact that it has been hunted since pre-Columbian times, but it was until the middle of the 20th century that its populations have been diminished and have even disappeared in certain areas due to the constant clearing of the forests tropical forests and their intense hunting pressure.
In Mexico we can find Mono Araña in the tropical forests of the Gulf of Mexico slope, from the central part of Tamaulipas to the Yucatan Peninsula. In the Pacific, along the coastal strip from Jalisco to Chiapas.
The Fauna masks were designed thinking about traditional artisan processes of Tequisquiapan in central Mexico, using wicker and natural rattan, and developing together with the master craftsmen, new techniques and transformation processes that make Fauna a very special collection.
